python3-ipdb software package provides IPython-based pdb replacement (Python 3 version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-ipdb
python3-ipdb is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-ipdb package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-ipdb *
You will get with python3-ipdb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
